Diagnosing hand/foot pain
Signs and Symptoms
Due to the excessive use of our complex and delicate extremities, these structures are very vulnerable to injury. Ranging from persistent pain when writing to simply standing and walking normally. There are many different causes and types of pain that can originate from bones, joints, tendons, nerves, and connective tissues. Pain can stem from inflammation, nerve damage, repetitive motion injuries, sprains and fractures, or other chronic health conditions.
Common symptoms of a hand or foot injury are:
- Inability to fully bend and straighten fingers
- Numbness, tingling, or weakness in fingers/wrist
- Pain or discomfort when grabbing or holding objects
- Swelling or inflammation in your finger’s joints
- Pain, discomfort, or inability to walk
- Pain when standing
- Problems flexing foot
- Swelling or inflammation of toe joints

How we help
-
Diagnose your cause of pain
During your first consultation, your chiropractor will start by asking you about your medical history, discuss your symptoms, perform an orthopedic, neurological, physical, and chiropractic exam, analyze the state and movement of your hand or foot, and maybe even perform an X-Ray scan.
-
Customize a treatment plan
Once your injury is diagnosed, your doctor will perform a non-invasive chiropractic treatment using minimal force and gentle pressure on your extremity and surrounding joints to increase range of motion, reduce pain, and improve the overall function of your hand or foot.
-
Monitor your recovery progress
Depending on the severity of your hand or foot injury, your customized treatment plan may vary in the number of required follow-up visits and recommended exercises. The good news is that County Line Chiropractic may help you feel better and you’ll be on the road to enjoying a higher quality of life.
